INVIDI_ content tool

The product

INVIDI MediaHub is a video ad serving software for broadcasters and online video distributors. Its users are mainly ad operations executives, marketing analysts, and their sales teams.

The product is currently in the MVP stage.

The challenge

Give autonomy for UX writers to collaborate with designers and front-end engineers.

How I helped

I led the team in selecting and implementing a content tool that will give the Technical Communications team more autonomy in our work on the product.

To do this, I worked on:

  • Understanding team needs

    • Organizing workshops and conversations with stakeholders to align expectations and potential blocks

    • Draw out a new workflow where a content tool can be the most effective for the team

    • Gather consensus from respective scrum teams to adopt the new workflow

  • Researching vendors

    • Speaking to industry peers to understand tools available in the market

    • Evaluate potential tools through product demos

  • Building business case

    • Pitch the selected content tool and workflow to stakeholders to receive budget approval

  • Rolling out the content tool

    • Pilot test the new workflow with scrum teams

    • Establish automatic deployment of copy strings to the UI code repo with the content tool
